-- If the UK owed the trillions we owe, or ran government deficits as large as ours, or ran current account deficits as large as ours, and if the pound sterling was the world's "reserve currency", sloshing around the world in astounding quantities, then I just might throw in the towel and say "ok, deflation it is. What I see is the UK following your script -- and it is a coherent logical script that does not apply to the US -- why? Because the UK is your run of the mill country going through a typical asset bubble while the US is in transition from supreme economic being to crack whore trainee.
