I do not see myself ever buying a foreign brand again

I bought a Cadillac Seville STS in 98 because it had a lot of "luxury" features that were not available on the high priced rice burners and Euro Iron. Plus I liked its looks. Gave me great service until I sold it, moved over here, and bought a moped.

when you need parts for your car use the net. you will find places 50% cheaper than local dealers. of course it has to be something you can wait a couple of days for. plus no sales tax.

i drive a bmw. buy most of my stuff over net. at deep discounts. from wholesalers who will sell to you at dealer cost price or distributor prices. a lot of them even ship free. must be a lot of mark up. tires get from tirerack.com best prices around. brakes, rotors, plugs, wires, wipers, lights, pumps etc. i only see my dealer when it is a job i do not trust to a local guy.

Things like mufflers, water pumps and other NORMAL maintenance items after 50k miles or so are at least TRIPLE what American brands sell for

My daughter has a 1993 Infiniti G-20. Basically a Sentra with leather.

Starter just went out, and it was a $383 repair, $300 of which was the cost of the new starter.

Yowch!
