"Bubble" sounds as if high housing prices are pervasive throughout the USA

I see no reason to expect a sharp collapse. What I have seen happen in So Calif was that prices leveled off for a few years. This last happened in '90. Speculators who were really leveraged got hurt, and a lot of RE agents looked for new jobs. But it really didn't hurt the economy.

That article I posted about the selling of interest only loans so people could speculate reflects this possiblity.
