I didn't mean to imply that the ancient Greeks had the best gay sex orgies. Obviously, I defer to your superior knowledge of the topic.

No, you do not have to defer to me, just be a little more open and tolerant of history. You seem overcocked and underminded to remind us that the Bible intolerantly condemns all "pagan" worship:

I was simply reminding you that outside of the scripture you so revere, your own GOD obviously saw something of great value in having his "WORD" preserved in the language of these very same pagans, the bible condemns....your oldest testaments are written . This is not by accident, but because these human beings were engaged in many variety of indepth pursuits of inquiry into the nature of the world both physical and of the psyche. While the tribes of Moses were struggling to get beyond the stages of bronze age tribal superstitions,
themselves.

It may seem comfort to you to think that the 1000yrs of hellenism was spent in homosexual orgy, and take pride in the fact that your bible condemns such pagan activity as so narrowed. But these were a people that spread a mantle over the known world at the time , investigated with much passion everythiong that could be percieved in God's creation , to the minutest increments of matter. They knew the world was round , gave us algebra and calculus and succeded in calulating the distance between the moon and earth .... only off by some very small relative distance . And they were fierce in these pursuits and passionate .

The Arts, Philosophy, Sciences...the perfection of man . They were bold and they were beautiful...and they could be extremely naive , proud and ugly too.Yet if your Bible condemns their spirit then you must not enter any Museum on Earth, for they are literal "Temples to the Muses "....but you don't believe in "the Muses" do you? There must have been something extremely awesome of their approach to life that our own world is built upon so many of those original magnificent themes.

You'd rather call it the inspiration of God? The Holy Spirit? The Son of Man/Christos?

Silly rabbit , those are originally
ancient Greek expressions all....

PS: Orgies of wrongful deaths , mans inhumanity to man , competition , superstitions & pride without end ....you think for one minute moment that your rabbai Joshua from galilea was the only one to have pondered on ?
