Personally, I think the numbers should match the pools of candidates in the real world and if affirmative action is used to push those numbers into balance when required is fine with me. When the quota's go beyond the percentage in pools I have a bit of a hard time supporting them.

The exception I would support would be in school admissions - since the only way to grow the pool is to educate the imbalanced group.

Yes....only a select few get to play, I mean to learn how to use statistics. For the rest of us, we have to muddle along. Thank God people like you are still willing to interact.....it helps us to learn and grow. Thank you, kimasabe.
