re:I would agree that best qualified is the way to go but can you honestly tell me that Roberts was best qualified with only two years experience on a federal court? I don't think best qualified was the primary standard for Bush's selection.

I don't have staff to review to 2000+ pool of candidates and anyone doing the reviewing is probably armed with an agenda, except perhaps for some of the less partisan law reviews.

Bush nor Kennedy is altruistic on this issue.

Good Lord, tejek. With a statement like that, it is abundantly clear that you haven't read Roberts' resume. He is absolutely impeccable in his credentials. Of course, he happens to be a conservative, which makes him suspect to all liberals, but his background is unimpeachable.
