I have a EE master and guess I had some math to pass that.
Know what you talk about.

Having said that it's a fact that very few people including those with a solid math background know how to compute based on a percentage basis.
Converting it all back to basic numbers complicates matters but still seems to making it easier for most people.
That's the long way to the same result though.

Statistics are constantly used to manipulate the unwashed masses. The way the numbers are expressed on the web page really are a bit misleading - but nearly everyone knows the total 'things' in a count based percentage is 100% - unless you went to business school and believe people should give 110% effort.


Yes......manipulation of numbers has become way too commonplace. You have to double check everything to make sure its really true.

I suppose I could make the case that by excluding illegal aliens from the work force numbers we may actually have a workforce of 110%. <g>

Its already been done. ;~)
