I believe that it is a developing story as from my perspective the U.K. is about 6 to 9 months ahead of U.S. developments.

Clearly consumer spending is hitting the skids though June looked better. Growth has slowed to a 12 year low, RE appreciating has just about stopped.

In the face of all this the BoE is quite likely to lower rates at their next meeting.
