Okay, I understand your point now. How much of the entire yearly production of Africans do locusts eat, in an average year, though? The famines in Africa are not caused simply by locusts, though. They are the result partially of political turmoil and corruption, but also because of poverty so extreme that Africans who lose their crops to locusts or whatever cannot afford to purchase anything at all to eat. At least they are not exposing themselves to carcinogens or poisoning their waterways by using pesticides, though.
