I didn't drink the koolaid! I had Palestinian friends when I was a young woman, and they gave me nonfiction books to read that astounded me, because they told the truth about the Zionist terrorists who went on to become the leaders of Israel, and about the bombing of the King David Hotel, and about the Palestinian landowners who had their farms and orchards stolen from them before they were driven into the refugee camps, where there were several large massacres of men, women and children by the Zionists and their associates. To be fair, if you are American, unless you take a college course about the Middle East, or somehow stumble on information like I did, you would probably eat the propaganda pablum our government feeds us about Israel. It is fairly difficult to find the truth out unless you do a lot of research.

Redfish, I think it's important to keep reiterating that not all Jews are Zionists, and there are many Zionists who are not Jewish. My issue is only with Zionism/Zionists, not Jews per se. There are some people at SI who are anti-Semitic in general, and others who paint anyone who does not support the state of Israel as a hater of all Jews. This is a complicated subject, and it is important to try to discuss it without bringing bigotry into it, or encouraging bigots to spew their horrible hatreds here.
