Freedom of the press?

Should schools scrap religious education?

gulf-news.com

In the United States and Canada, for example, some schools have shied away from celebrating Christmas for fear it might offend youngsters who follow other faiths.

Algeria has taken things a step further by removing religious education from the curricula of secondary schools.

Gulf News took to the streets of Dubai to find out what people thought of the move in Algeria.

-----------------------------------------------

So they interviewed ten people of different nationalities to see what they thought about religious education in schools. All ten support it. Not one thinks it is not a public school matter.

That's some free press system.....
