OK, I guess that was $250,000, not 250,000 shares. Even so, I'll bet Rove didn't pay for those shares. And it's true Rove was running campaign operations out of Enron HQ, including getting Enron to pay Ralph Reed $150,000 to be an "energy consultant" though he knows nothing about energy except how to energetically mobilize rightwing Christian activists.
Free private jet travel too. They got caught on that and had to reimburse Enron later. Plus, over the years, Lay and Enron had given Bush over $1,000,000 and Bush had helped them deregulate the energy market in Texas which cost consumers plenty.
