Here's what's wrong with Muslims in the world......

Why are you making it just their world? The Muslims in the poll are living in the Brit. world which is anglicized. I am not surprised that some do not like it. We see how minorities are treated here.......and it was the Brits that founded this country so you have to believe there is discrimination against Muslims in the UK.

If you were discriminated against your entire life, how would you feel about the society within which you live? Yesterday, they started random checks of people carrying something while boarding subway cars in NYC. To a person, the people of color were pissed.......some were very reluctant to let the police go through their stuff and others simply left the subway altogether. The white people on the other hand were very accomodating. Why do you think that is? Because whites are superior to minorities? Minorities are just bad people...criminals walking among us? How you're treated plays an important role on how you think about the place in which you live.

There are Muslims that dislike the UK.....doesn't surprise me one bit. Does it justify blowing up the London Metro? Of course not. Why don't the Muslims go back to Pakistan? They have it too good in the UK. Is it logical? Of course not. Things are messed up, emotions are running high and people are less than rational.

I don't know what you do.....put them in camps?

ted

On your survey, I wonder if all the respondents were British citizens. If not, the fact that 18 percent feel little loyalty toward Britain. If they are, for example, a Pakistani studying in college in Britain, there isn't much reason for him to feel "loyal" to a Britain, whatever it means.

If they are all British citizens, then you'd think the question should include something along the lines of "if you do not feel loyalty toward England, why are you here?". It would be interesting to learn why someone would jump through the hoops of gaining citizenship, but not have any feelings of patriotism for the country. If they were born in England, and feel no partriotic feeling for England, where in the world (if anywhere) do they have patriotic feelings? Red China?!

-----------------------

Actually, here's some explanation at the end, and it just says he interviewed Muslim adults in England, British not citizens. That may explain a lot of the lack of connection to Britain.

I don't feel a lot of loyalty (or any) to the foreign country where I reside.
