During the Ryland conference call, someone asked them what percentage of the buyers are using ARM, IO etc. The CEO claimed that most of the buyers have more borrowing capability than the amount they are applying for, whatever that means. I somehow find that hard to believe, especially for California with affordability at all time low.

Ryland was previously not on my radar screen but based on the call, it is now on my watch list.
