I know that. I thought I made that clear. That's actually part of my point, but never mind. I don't think we can communicate on this- and maybe not on anything else. I write things here, they makes sense to me, and they get interpreted in ways beyond my wildest dreams. What can I say? I'm not criticizing; I'm just noting that even though I thought there could be communication, I might have been wrong. No judgment. No condescension. I'm just noting a complete failure of communication here.

Oh well.

FWIW, I gave more thought as to whether she should be on
the list than anyone else. I consider her a friend too. That
however was not part of the criteria. *She also was perhaps
the only one on the list who generally refrained from
insults, personal attacks, & ridicule, etc., of other SI
members. She did tend to have less forbearance toward the
objects of her POV however (Bush & his Admin, etc.). This too
was less extreme than a vast majority of those on the list.

In the end it was the weight of evidence & the established
criteria that placed her there.

* As much as it troubled me to include her, it is IMO, an
indictment of those on the left who tolerated, sometimes
encouraged, all too often agreed with, but almost never
repudiated the extremists on their side of the isle.

It's quite possible that folks like Suma who gave greater
weight to the POV's of fellow liberals & was simultaneously
leary of most conservative POV's, they may have ended up
being duped into believing the left's extremists were
speaking the truth.
