I think the guy overreacted as well by running - with all the cameras, don't they have some pictures of this incident?

I agree seems to have over reacted as well. However, if the police have footage of the incident, they are not showing it yet.

Having the police start down an internal investigation at this time will not be helpful to their mission. It's an incredibly unfortunate event all around with really bad timing.

It really is. When I first heard the news, I thought it was weird and it sounded too much like the LAPD but then they said the guy was one of the terrorists so it didn't seem too bad. Now, it looks pretty bad. Plus, you can be sure the Brazilian gov't will make a big stink. Their president is very left and anti American and anti Brit.

RE: "the guy overreacted as well by running"

And what was he suppose to do when a gang of five people chased him with a gun? Run!

If you were chased by a gang of five people, one pointing a hand gun at you while running at you, would you consider it an over-reaction to get away from them?

Apparently you consider it an over-reaction to run when a gang is chasing you and pointing a gun at you.

You do realize the policeworkers were not wearing police uniforms? They looked like a mob with guns chasing a tourist.

The bottom line is, don't be foreign in London wearing a New York tshirt.
