It's funny Taro, but we have been debating hate speech in the U.S. for a very long time. The most memorable of these debates have centered on neo-Nazis and their crimes against blacks, Jews, and you name it. The liberals and ACLU-lovers typically side with the neo-Nazis under the guise of freedom of speech. The victims, and moderates or conservatives typically side with the victims and believe that hate speech deliberately intended to incite violence is a crime. I don't know where our laws stand on this issue, but I hope it is conservative enough to put these guys away. Because if it is, then we can also put away the modern-day neo-Nazis, the Muslims who incite suicide bombing.

That just sparked a thought. One potential compromise to the more libarl free speech defenders could be to say that we make a law on suicide bombing in particular. So if it any other kind of hate speech, maybe we can be more liberal on it, but if it is hate speech related to suicide bombing, we clamp down completely. Just an idea.
