How much oil did we think was left in 1950, 1960, 1970? How much oil is now left? The only thing increasing faster than energy use is energy resources.

you are making very basic arguments which are easily refuted by the proponents of the peak oil thesis. i suggest you read up on that subject.

I predict that by 2012 there will be only 42 barrels of oil left in the entire world, and we will have to fight tooth and nail to get our share of those 42 barrels.*

*caveat: I could be off by 10 to the magnitude of 30,093,092,091
