MD, Yes, there are the predators, but those predators usually go after penguin eggs and baby penguins.

I watched a show on The Animal Planet re animal dads, meaning the male (rather than the female) of the species looking after their young. I knew about penguins but the rest was new to me. A fascinating show, although I did sort of close my eyes during the waterbug segment. They are:

Marsupial mouse
Jackal
Waterbug
Stickleback (fish)
Jacana (bird) (BTW, mama jacana is a Susan Smith; i.e., if given the opportunity, she will kill her young)
Giant African bullfrog
Darwin's frog
Emperor penguins (I believe this applies to all penguins, however)
Seahorse
