Crude gains on renminbi revaluation

Commodities received a slight boost towards the end of the week after China revalued the renminbi. However, the size of the symbolic move was disappointing for some analysts.

Nick Moore of ABN Amro said: “Folks were expecting a move in the order of 5 to 10 per cent, not the 2 per cent that we actually got.”
