And BTW: CYBERKEN happens to be convinced that what is globally trashed as "partisan politics" in America today is the last and most tenuous barrier that stands between us and tyranny. A barrier that too few notice is gradually giving way. Totalitarianism-when it finally poisons a society-doesn't come from the infinite battle between what we mistakenly refer to as "the extremes", but from the tunnel-visioned pseudo-populists, who are convinced that "experts" can rule far more "efficiently" than "partisans". "Let's git a look under the HOOD." was far MORE chilling than "Bush lied." (The latter easily allowing for the proposer to be exposed as a clown, fraud, traitor, moron, or any similar term-unless that term is banned by those who, as Adlai Stevenson so profoundly pointed out, "Want to take the politics out of politics.")...
