The trick with spy agencies is that they are, by nature, anti-free-republic. The dark-shadow soldiers require a CONSTANT, principled, and competent Congressional AND Executive oversight. Evidence that such oversight is occurring consists of the periodic purging of the agency behind the fog of secrecy (and usually indicative by the sight of the losers in the latest purge appearing somewhere in the media attacking the administration that cleaned them out. It is, as you can see, both a tricky AND dirty business, but a NECESSARY one.) That is why it is critical that BOTH sides of the PARTISAN debate be solidly pro-American. Our republic today is in great danger...
