The US Congress would still put the same block then as it is now. I doubt China could ever acquire any energy companies from the US. Noting can be separated from Politics

China should just put their emphasis on Latin America, Africa, Central Asia, and Russia. Those countries are much much more friendlier to China. And they have plenty of natural resources. Even if China ends up losing money, at least that can be considered as helping out. After all, most of those countries are developing countries. And we are equals
