Yes, it is sad that so many on the left have become so enamored with Islamo-fascism that they are unable (or unwilling) to recognize anti-semitism.

re: "It is interesting that support of Israel used to be a cornerstone of liberalism and is now a sin. Instead, they seem to prefer those guys who took down the Towers and bombed London transport."

The sad fact is that the political extremes always seem to scapegoat. Historically the far right targeted Jews, and the far left targeted Asians. But with the rise of Mao and Ho Chi Minh, it became a little unfashionable for the left to demonize Asian despots - idolize is more like it (unless they were supported by the USA). Now a few decades later, with the advent of Communist Chinese Mercantilism, the far left is feeling a little foolish quoting Mao. Enter Arafat and Baathism (one of the last unapologetically Socialistic movements) versus Israel, possibly the first country founded and run by Socialists to turn to turn around and elect conservatives - for the left the choice is clear, pick the Socialist (I'd like to point out that before Hitler attacked the Soviet Union in 1941, Communists were against supporting Britain's fight against National Socialist Germany).
