Those phrases our colleagues (aka neighbors, friends) say are the generalizations they've absorbed by only watching FOX etc., and not being "into" politics as we are.
They learn some facts weeks after we've already exhausted the stories, as we are wonks.
You probably know more about politics than any of your friends eh? Same goes for most who post here. We're the friggin' experts because we live and breathe it. By the time the 6:30 news shows are on we're onto other breaking news.
Am I right or am I correct? :•)

There was a recent article posted on FADG and another thread on the conclusion of a joint Saudi-UK-US study on suicide bombers. The conclusion was that not a single one of the suicide bombers that went into Iraq had any intention of (and often no connection to) terrorism before the Iraqi invasion. We are not fighting them in Iraq. We are creating them there.
