I agree that my party of choice has really gotten lost on the smaller government less spending roots they were founded upon. Makes me want to vote for independants or even a democrat that would promise to address spending without giving the pigs more money to spend. I can rarely support raising taxes as we know they'll (both parties) find ways to waste it. The waste is unbelievable. For all the complaints about my liberalism, I am a fiscal conservative and I can't stand to see the money blown out like its candy. BTW this bridge is just one of a long list of pork......from a $10 million bus shelter to senseless museums celebrating ridiculous things. Its stunning how these guys spend our money while the federal deficit grows. ted
