We know that the White House lied about his involvement from the start. We know that his account is directly at odds with Cooper, suggesting that he is lying about what was said. And we don't have any clear account of his "source" of information. We know what he was trying to do - smear Wilson for providing information that completely discredited the phony nuclear threat that Bush et al were counting on as a justification to invade Iraq. I have to disagree with you -- whether it was a form of treason remains to be seen, but it is certainly shaping up to be obstruction of justice, and Bush has taken no action. I can only assume that neither man has the integrity to serve in high office. It now looks like we will have to await criminal conviction before any action is taken -- it is a travesty.

The whole thing would be cleared up if his boss just asked him during one of their joint public appearances. Just turn around and ask:

"Karl, did you leak anything at all to reporters, and if you did, what did you leak?"

That Rove is becoming a liability for Bush is evident in that the special prosecutor is expanding his investigation to include Bush and Cheney. similar to the Clinton investigation. The difference between the two being Clinton's involved his private life and did not involve his political rivals like it did Nixon's. Bush's has a;; the makings of a Watergate and even worse since the outing of a CIA agent's name involves the security of this nation.

....But now Fitzgerald's investigation appears to have turned its focus to discrepancies in the testimony of White House senior adviser Karl Rove and vice presidential chief of staff I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby. Fitzgerald may be trying to determine whether evidence exists to bring perjury or obstruction of justice charges.

And that raises the issue of what -- if anything -- Rove and Libby told Bush and Cheney about their roles.

So does that mean Fitzgerald might call Bush and Cheney to testify before the grand jury -- under oath? Might he even have done so already? We have no idea, of course, because the White House isn't saying anything at all about the investigation anymore.
