Cold War weapons systems are almost useless against terrorism. Maybe to justify their outrageous Pentagon spending the Bushies will start a war with China. Then they can actually use some of their big toys. But in Iraq our huge arsenal and billion bucks a day have proven to be useless.

Kerry was right. Counter-terrorism is about pin-pointing actual villains and killing them. Occupying their countries only makes things twice as bad. Hate to admit it because no one likes to root against the home team, but we need to cut our losses. Iraq is a lost cause. Only problem is Bush screwed things up so monumentally that we can't leave yet. It's as bad as Vietnam in 1973.
