Oh I agree. The Arab media is terrible in that regards. On the other hand, there are many forces within Israel who relish the conflict and believe it is the best way to keep Israel strong and/or expand its base. They actively provoke negative Arab reaction and shut down Jewish left. As an example, there was a brief movement among some Jews in support of Bosnian Muslims as the Jews could clearly sympathize with them and see some parallels with WWII. It could have been a very good turning point on Arab (or at least Muslim) Jewish relationships...it was dully squashed and rather quickly.
