You are welcome. >>The desire for automobiles must be intense, however.<<

Chinese gov. discourages for individuals owning a car, by high registration fee and other types of fees, which is a right move. And even if so, the road is very crowded. In shanghai, a car registration alone is more expensive than an average car.

>>And the need for more electric power.<<

The bottle neck for electricity will last at least another 3 years.

>> But except for automobiles, it looks as if the average Chinese household is catching up rapidly with Western standards.<<

Yeah, Chinese, unlike many westerners, are willing to save money from their food in order to buy some durable goods<g>

House market in flux
Rapid shifts putting chill on hot June data
By Andrew LePage -- Bee Staff Writer
Published 2:15 am PDT Sunday, July 24, 2005

If you've been waiting for the housing market to cool, then your moment may have arrived. While the latest sales statistics for June show more of the same - a strong market with rising prices - many agents and brokers say the lagging data don't reflect recent market trends. The number of homes for sale has risen to levels not seen since the late 1990s, they say, and buyer psychology is changing fast.

"We are in a shifting situation right now," said broker Pam Petterle, the manager for Prudential California Realty's Sacramento-Tahoe region. "The biggest change is that we have a much greater inventory ... and that's a major change because it shifts the balance from sellers driving this market to a more balanced market. There are not as many multiple offers, and listings are staying on the market longer."

At the end of June, the inventory of resale homes on the market in Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo counties rose to 6,246. It was the highest for any June since 1999 and the most for any month since September 2001, according to TrendGraphix, a local data firm affiliated with Lyon Real Estate.

UPDATE 2-Host America shares suspended after run up, sales
Fri Jul 22, 2005 01:16 PM ET
(Adds share sale details, background)

NEW YORK, July 22 (Reuters) - The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday temporarily suspended trading in Host America Corp. (CAFE.O: Quote, Profile, Research) shares over concerns a company statement about a deal with Wal-Mart Stores Inc. (WMT.N: Quote, Profile, Research) may have been misleading.

Host America's shares rose dramatically after the release, going from a close of $3.09 on July 11, the day before the release was issued, to an all-time high of $16.88 on Tuesday, July 19.

During that time, three major shareholders in the company began to cash in, including Host's second-largest shareholder, who sold off the majority of his stake.
