Then we agree to disagree on that. I have to draw the lines, and I will never please everybody. I would prefer not to touch the Ban button again if I can avoid it. Sometimes I let something slide once and institute a ban after repeated offenses, sometimes not. Bill had queried me via PM about the provocation and I told him I was on top of it. He replied with a partisan swipe, IMHO, when the better choice would have been to bite his tongue and see how it played out. If we allow knee-jerk fireworks and retaliation here, the thread serves no purpose different from any other political thread. Anyone who really disapproves of my moderation can fire up a new thread with a few keystrokes.
