"A start would be for the US to work to get out of Iraq, and out of the Middle East. We should also pressure Israel to keep to UN resolutions - and pressure it financially to do so also"

INDEED! If you have an enemy who is killing your friends and threatens to kill you, it might be a good idea to find out what
motivates them to do that. In the process if you discover that it is YOUR actions, then maybe it would be a good idea to stop doing what is counterproductive and make a deal with these people.

Namaste!

Jim

One of my best friends (a very smart guy) would agree with you. So maybe you are correct that most Americans wouldn't just support it - they would demand it.

Of course I told him the same thing I told you: I think the idea is insane.

The two contenders met, with all their troops, on the field of Camlan to negotiate. Both sides were fully armed and desperately suspicious that the other side was going to try some ruse or stratagem. The negotiations were going along smoothly until one of the knights was stung by an asp and drew his sword to kill the reptile. The others saw the sword being drawn and immediately fell upon each other. A tremendous slaughter ensued. The chronicle...is quite specific about the point that the slaughter was excessive chiefly because the battle took place without preparations and premeditation. HERMAN KAHN, On Thermonuclear War

You keep bringing up Mecca. Is that a catch-all for you? That's the source of our problems, eh? Dude, your thinking ain't thinking.
