Your disappointment has nothing to do with the administrators or the service. Some common sense rules apply like:

* Even if you don't have a specific agenda, don't expect the same to be true of everyone else on the thread.

* Not everybody on a thread is there is to discuss the stock with objectivity.

With time, by observation you'll learn the community's leaders and jokers. Like any other, this neighborhood has both.

You can become a moderator yourself (by upgrading your subscription level) or even create unmoderated threads, here: siliconinvestor.com

Now that we have SI Sentiment, which can also be manipulated by people with an agenda, it's even more important that people know they can start a new thread for the same ticker. If you can't create one as a free member, let me know and I'll change it so that free members can create threads. And if the "you_banned" message doesn't already say so, I'll make sure it says that you can create a board for the same ticker and give a link for doing so.

Dave and I will also discuss the Moderator model and see if we need to tweak it or our policies. For example, Dave removing moderating capability from stock-specific boards that he in his sole discretion feels are having bans mis-used. As is our right, and as I'm inclined to exercise now that someone with an agenda can not only silence (redirect, actually) a critical voice, but also a low rating.

In the meantime, though, keep in mind that multiple boards per ticker *are* allowed here, and if you feel strongly enough that ticker XYZ is a poor investment, start a fairly-moderated board to say so and to give it low ratings with your posts.

Ratings are ticker-based, not board-based. So if 3 people give XYZ a 10 rating on a moderated cheerleading-only board, and 3 people give it a 1 on a separate board having the same ticker, the average score still comes out to 5.5 for the ticker.
