Well, quite. Religion just gives an extra cause and an affirmation that your death (and hence your sacrifice, and so your existence) is worthwhile, fated and by divine design.

I think it's probably fair to say that anyone who'll inspire suicide bombers to act is aware of this teenage proclivity, and uses it: whether cynically, because they're just so gullible and easy to manipulate (and so unknown to the police), or sincerely, because their innocent sacrifice is god-given and hence both more meaningful and likely to occur (as they're unknown to the police...)

terrorists have picked the right age group to recruit suicide bombers
