NG electric consumption for May down 9.6% YOY. Check out the monthly flash report Table 3.1 here:

That explains a lot. Hydro has been way up, but that can't last....things are vry dry. The spring was cool YOY and saved some NG there. This July represents the chickens coming home to roost.

Things are shaping up very much like the summer of '00. That is when the real drought i the West started to develop. In '00 we had just begun to resume drilling and there was no catching up. This time we have been drilling like crazy, but the gas isn't coming. If the summer plays out like the last couple of weeks and the winter is cold or even normal, NG will be pegged around $20.
