That is reason and proof enough. "Nor can Roman influence explain how people in India ended up with the exact same beliefs and traditions, but not those in between" I would have to see what you mean by "exact same beliefs and traditions" but if you have used the same sloppy approach to India as you have to Roman Mithra-ism then I won't hold my breath.
