Osama is too crafty for that. He'd figure out some reason why he couldn't go to Mecca. Maybe he'd say that Allah's world is not of this one and so he's not worried about earthly monuments, but he doesn't want to unnecessarily put any of Islam's holy places in danger of being destroyed by the Great Satans. :)

Frankly, I think it's time we had a talk with our allies in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the surrounding region and tell them point blank that we will no longer honor their sovereign boundaries in our hunt for Osama or if we are actively chasing insurgents or terrorists when they cross their borders.

For instance, if we are chasing some insurgents and they cross into Syria or Iran, I'd keep chasing and blasting away until they are dead or capture. If Syria or Iran send troops to get in the way, then they become part of the battle. It's time to take the gloves off.
