Jesus Christ is the founder and builder of the Church and He built it on the foundation of the Apostles who wrote the New Testament Well , only after the campaigns post Constantine, of purification by mass slaughter, burnings, lynchings that ensued for a few centuries by fanatical zealous "christian" monks at the behest of their mad bishops. There was quite a slaughter going on, in the name of Jesus Christ , who obviously had left the building. Yet , are we going to let a little history stand in our way , though ? Would you like some links ? ;)

What Church did he form? Catholic? Lutheran? Calvinism? Anglican? As far as I know he was more a reformer of people and Judaism and perhaps founder of a spirituality, but not of a Church. "Church" or "Religion" has little in common with Spirituality. Spirituality is the grand idea and Religion is an implementation of that idea. Jesus brought the idea, not its implementation. Constantine brought the first successful or at least wide spread implementation.
