George Soros has gotten wealthy using the strategy of accumulating currency denominated securities, dumping to create panic and buying back at lower prices. Sometimes, Soros just sells short without ever having an initial investment.

If China were truly waging economic war, they would not prop up the greenback at any price. It would be a very expensive investment in war. A country that promotes generals that threaten nuclear first strike maybe capable of that.
