It depends on what that community votes for. Our Founding Fathers voted to have pre-session prayers. So that was acceptable to the majority.

However, if a community heavily populated by Muslims votes for that type of thing, then more power to them. Frankly, I'd vote against it, because I think that would impinge on my right to freedom from noise pollution. But, I wouldn't stop any Muslim from taking a moment to pray 5 times a day, any more than I'd stop kids from saying "One Nation Under God" in the pledge of allegiance, or any more than I'd ban a Christmas celebration. Instead of banning, I'd invite other religions to also plan their own religions celebrations.

Frankly that multi-cultural acknowledgement and joint celebration of traditions is what breeds acceptance and tolerance. Banning religion altogether from schools and public forums is what he Europeans have done and look what it has gotten them: a Muslim minority that has failed to be integrated into their societies.
