Why not? I can't think of any valid reason to withhold thread creation from the free featureset, but I'm listening. Keep in mind that I, too, have an agenda. Growing the site and making it more viable as a business. Free members are a very important part of that. They see ads, which is our largest revenue stream, and they're contributing an increasingly large percentage of stock-related content. Ranging from 10-25% of such content compared to 0% when we took over the site. Free members are a much-needed transfusion. And I'm inclined to encourage them as much as possible, so long as they play nice and I don't "give away the farm" to them or give them too much that others have paid for in the past. Still have to make sure they have plenty of reasons to become subscribers, and I'm not convinced that board creation should be on that list.
