It is obvious Bush committed insider trading. Clinton's SEC did not go after him. It would be highly unusual that any WH would allow a SEC investigation against a sitting governor of Texas unless it was a very big deal. Clinton was always reaching out to conservatives, not attacking them, and a lot of thanks he got from them too huh?

Since Bush Sr'.s SEC had already shied away from investigarting the POTUS's own son and GW claimed he'd lost all the records (an obvious lie) neither administration pushed it. Bush Sr's of course would not because GW was his son, running for governor and was being primed to run for president. GW would be the last man in the country Bush Sr. would ever investigate.

In retrospect I'll bet CLinton wishes he had insisted on an investigation.
