"though of course that has side effects." It is amazing what many women will endure and risk in order to bring new life into the world. They thus perpetuate their genomes and add meaning to their existence. Life continously dies--from puppies to bacteria. Everything is recycled and the building blocks are reassembled again from information. It would seem that information is the primary constituent of life. Individual life is surely irrelevant (I kill billions of parasites and non-parasites when I lick a finger). The bacteria wants to live. I want to live. At least I got to compete!
