Honestly, I wouldn't want to assume responsibility in 2008 because I'd have to promise to "stay the course". On the other hand, 2012 should be easily winnable by promising to be out of Iraq by the end of the term.

Even I could vote for Hillary in 2008 depending on who she is running against, so why is 2008 automatic win for the republicans. I dont get it. By the way i have said that about Hillary on Lindy Bills thread. As for the court, dont go to crazy--congress and the exec are always up for grabs if the dems can run candidates that can win in the red states. If you tone down the anger at the bushies and attack them on matters of competence in iraq, you might just win. Some americans may have supported the war but are now questioning the way its been fault and whats the best course with today being DAY 1. Mike
