If Graham had said up front there is a minority of Muslims committing these dastardly acts that should be condemned by all Muslims, no one would have disagreed. Let me repeat the distinction I made in my original comments. There is a difference between "condemning all Muslims" and condemning the institution of Islam. We can say that the NYC school system is a disaster without condemning all its teachers or students. I'm distinguishing among the religion, the institution, and the practitioners. I don't know that he's condemning all Muslims or even most Muslims when he condemns the institution. Nor do I know that he's condemning the religion. I don't know that he isn't either, but the default has to be that he meant the words he used.
