Alan, do you believe there are Americans (besides our president and leaders, who see the CIA reports and know the background of the Zionists) who honestly know the history of the rise of Zionism and what really happened to the Palestinians at the hands of the Zionists, who still support our pro-Zionist policies? It is hard for me to imagine that there are. Most Americans have just sort of absorbed a message that Israel is good and we support it, and Palestinians are bad and terrorists. Their thought process and motivation to discover facts about this big mess seem to be nonexistent. So I don't think it was unreasonable to call them naive and gullible. I do understand from your post more of what Arno was attempting to say re what he saw as a contradiction in my comments. Instead of trying to explain it, he just labeled me hypocritical, so it was hard for me to understand what his point was. And I still don't agree, because in the part of the post that dealt with different groups of people, I am simply saying that no group is all good, no group is all bad, personalities and motivations and emotional health are all extremely variable, and I think it is racist to label groups of people in that way. The comments I made about Americans were not racist, since I was talking about Americans of every race and culture in my comments. So I suppose you could say that both comments were gross generalizations, but they are very different comments about very different groups in my mind, and lumping them together is not logical and serves no purpose (in my opinion, of course).
