Thanks! My dad saw many examples of suicidal courage in WWII- he was at Guadalcanal, on the ground for the first part of the war, as a marine.

I don't seem to be able to get a reply to my query regarding th heavy handed and it seems to me patently unfair treatment of Bill. I've asked politely and reasonably several times to have the logic of this banning explained to me. It seems Bill could have at least been given an opportunity on the thread to explain his remark. And I know I not alone in my opinion given remarks by a number of regualrs here and the declining number of bookmarks for this thread. With respect to the allegedly "Moderate Forum"...that forum is anything but "moderate"...and I am convinced, given my experience on this thread that the view here as moderated is anything but "The View From the Center". For that reason, I bid this thread a less than fond adieu and urge others who feel that this banning was uncalled for to follow my lead and stay off this thread until the banning is undone. J.
