I don't think paying dues is the sole determinant as to whether you belong to an organization or not. Seems to me that signing up for it means you belong, even if you forget to send in the check.

I know I joined the Federalist Society in law school, when the chapter first got going. Bill Pryor went to the same law school as me, and I seem to recall he was the one who started the chapter, but that's more than 20 years ago. I can't really remember whether I wrote them a check or just signed a roster and went to meetings.

The dues checks are not tax deductible so looking in my old tax files wouldn't help.

Joining was something I felt proud about, and excited about, and I am still proud about it, and enjoy it.

Seems like Roberts is not proud of his affiliations with the Federalist Society, whether formal or informal. Makes me wonder about the state of his cojones. Does he have them or not?
