You can certainly see it in England with skinheads attacking Muslims. In France, I'm not certain if they rejected the EU Constitution because it sucked or because of nationalism. My guess was enough of both to sink the thing.

I have been looking around and it seems some of the necessary reforms are not politically possible, so it will require a stronger police state to enact them - how do we stop the rise of fascism if that is the only system left to deliver the needed medicine?
