I am an independent. So, if a politician is running on some grand scemes, I can usually find agreement with the one that is a bell ringer. I usually don't like some of his other ideas that are just party line stuff.

When someone buys into the group think of a party they become extreme and loose the ability to distinguish. We can add to that the economics of our political system and we have a country with a paralysed conscience, in which most activists are becoming polarized and radicalized.

When the radicals talk they throw everything into one pot and cook it at 1000 degrees. The politician is one of those ... oh, boil it all together!!!!

There are no more true hawks and doves, only party loyalists.

I am not "anti-war" -- I am anti destroying America, I am anti the destruction of the values America was founded to uphold, and I am anti destroying the fragile prospect that the world can one days be a safe and prosperous place. What I am sick of is the pompous contention that the invasion fo Iraq was in any way a step forward. The invasion of Iraq was indeed a highly destructive act.
